Clelsea Clinton Strolls Gay Bars

Unbeleiveable!  Just this morning I saw the article posted on the Drudge Report.  I still cannot believe it.  The article reports on Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Senator Hillary Clinton, touring prominent gay bars in PA.

If you have the stomach, go ahead and read this article on msnbc -  http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/04/19/921148.aspx

Given the choice between Hillary and Obama, and cannot understand how any devoted Christian can remain a member of the Democratic Party.  Already in Congress there have been attempts made to force a radical homosexual agenda on the American people, and yes, even our churches and religous organizations.  If either Hillary and Obama are elected, I suspect that not only will we see more of such legislation proposed, but even passed with support from the White House.  Of course, this is all done in the name of tolerance, love and acceptance.

Christians need to wake up and see what is going on in the world around us,  Burying our heads in the sand and waiting for the rapture is not what Christ would have us to do.  We need more pastors, churches and believers willing to stand up for righteousness.  We cannot afford to be silent.

More than just a political statement for "family values," we must be willing to declare sin to be just that, sin.  This world needs to know they have offended a sovereign, holy God who tells us the wages of this sin is death.  Only then can we share with them the wondrous truth about the gospel.  Without a knowledge of sin there is no need of a saving of any kind from it.
This is a message that will not be heard in any political campaign or press release.  Pastors, Churches and Christians need to start doing their job once again.  When high-profile presidential candidates and government officials can take such offensive actions, how can the church remain silent?  Who else is there to voice their outrage?

We have allowed issues such as homosexuality and abortion to become merely political issues instead of theological and moral issues.  The Bible has much to say on both of these issues.  Matters of human sexuality, orientation and certainly matters of life and death are absolutely issues that Scripture addresses and our Lord has given commands concerning.  Yet, they have become merely political issues in the minds of most Americans simply because politicians are the only ones speaking about them!  Again, America's pulpits have remain silent, by and large.

Where is the modern-day John the Baptist who stand firm against the immorality of modern day Herods?  If Christians will not declare the truth against sin, who will?  Christians, wake up!

Democrats Decide to Cower Away from Tough Stance – Any Surprise?

Let me begin first by saying, the Democrats can run their primary any way they choose. I will not vote for any of their candidates, so it really does not matter to me in the least. However, the recent controversy surrounding the Florida and Michigan Democratic primaries does reflect upon the party itself and ought to give a message to voters.

In case you are unfamiliar with this situation, allow me to elaborate. Late last year, many states around the country were trying to jockey for an early position in the primary season. Most states realize that most recent Presidential nominees have pretty much been decided not too long after New Hampshire. By the time most states actually go to the polls, their votes are deemed irrelevant because by that time the race is over and many on the ballot have already dropped out. So, in the spirit of childish jealousy, states feared irrelevancy and began moving up their primary dates closer to New Hampshire.

Seeing this as a problem, the Democratic National Committee had asked states not to move these dates up past a certain date. Florida and Michigan decided to ignore the DNC and moved their primaries up anyway. The result – Howard Dean and the DNC told Florida and Michigan their states would not receive any delegates to the national convention, making their primaries irrelevant. Their votes would not count in the nominating process.

While I am in no way sympathetic to the Democratic Party, I was pleasantly surprised to see them sticking to their guns. I was happy to see this tough stance. Even both of the major candidates agreed not to campaign in these states. Then, the race became closer than anyone expected…

Now we are down to just Hillary and Obama. Each state has now become a battleground and even the smallest states in the Union are now of the utmost importance to each campaign. Every delegate counts! As we begin to see the possibility of an undecided convention, all of a sudden there is a cry to figure out some way to allow Florida and Michigan to receive their delegates after all.

What message does this send? I believe the message is clear. Democrats will uphold the law and stand by their convictions – only when there are no consequences or controversy. At the least sign of trouble, Democrats are willing to throw any conviction, stance or position overboard when it hurts them politically.

How does play out in real life? These are the same people who want to promote moral decadence by simply taking away the consequences. We all agree teen pregnancy is a problem. So what do the Democrats do? We hand young girls condoms and birth control. Deal with the problem by taking away the consequence. We have a problem with Islamic terrorists bombing our nation. So what do the Democrats do? They strive to promote “tolerance and understanding.” I have spoken out against the “war” in Iraq, but Democrats have only taken this position after the war was not won in a quick an easy manner. Once this war became unpopular, these Democratic lawmakers quickly jumped shipped, not because conscience but because of opinion polls. Who can forget Senator Kerry’s famous declaration that he voted for a bill supporting the troops before he voted against it?

So this decision by the DNC should take no one by surprise. American voters, it is time to wake up and see the facts! The Democratic Party is filled with platitudes and promises, but where is the substance? What guarantee do you have that they will stick by anything they say?

Some who read this article will be quick to suggest the GOP is no better. To that I say, I agree. That’s why I left the party. Still in the party platform is unapologetic pro-life stance. Yet, this platform plank is thrown out the window when a candidate like Rudy Giuliani is allowed to run. Where is this plank enforced here in the Massachusetts Republican Party? Where were the Republicans when Ron Paul introduced the Sanctity of Life bill? I can count on one hand the number of pro-life Republicans here in Massachusetts.

And speaking of Massachusetts… The Republican Party is supposed to be the pro-family, pro-morality contingent here in the Commonwealth. Where were they in the fight against homosexual marriage? Where are they now in the fight against the transgender bill currently before the state legislature? It is one thing to campaign on family values, it is another thing to actually do something about it?

Again, I say, it is time for a REAL change. It should be clear that neither of the two major parties intends to do much at all. Real change will only come when we vote “outside of the box.” I joined the Constitution Party for just this reason. Who else will have the courage to stand by their convictions?

Ok, So I Am Supporting Hillary...

There, I said it!  For quite some time I have found myself to be a closet Hillary supporter.  I am hoping this woman can win the Democratic nomination for President.  It is now out in the open for all to see.

Have I changed any of my views and values?  No.  Let me explain why I have found myself secretly rooting for Senator Clinton.  The reason is simple:  Barack Obama.  While much of conservatism has harbored a deeply rooted fear and hatred of Mrs. Clinton, my biggest fear has been the possibility of a Barrak Obama Presidency.

The truth of the matter is, Barrak Obama is far more liberal than Hillary Clinton.  Last month, the National Journal Magazine has labeled Obama the most liberal member of the United States Senate with a composite liberal score of  95.5.  Mrs. Clinton ranked only 16th with a composite liberal score of  82.8.  How these scores were calculated can be found here - http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/methodology.htm.

The one issue in which Barrak Obama clearly displays his bone-chilling liberalism is abortion.  His record while an Illinois State Senator is appalling at best, criminal at worst.  Obama is the best friend an abortionist ever had.  While in Illinois, Obama fought against a bill that would protect children fortune enough to actually SURVIVE a late term abortion.  Not even NRAL opposed this bill.  Barrak Obama fought, yes fought hard, to defeat this bill.  In other words, he still wanted these babies dead!  This is deplorable!  You can read more about Obama and abortion here -  http://closedcafeteria.blogspot.com/2008/01/obamas-abortion-record.html.

For all the fear-mongers conservatives have done concerning Mrs. Clinton, they have only paved the way for a more liberal Senator to take the nomination and maybe even the White House.   I knew of many friends of mine (conservative, constitutionalist and libertarian) who actually switched to the Democratic party just to vote for Senator Obama to voice their objection to Mrs. Clinton.  Now, look at what you have done!  You have fallen for the trap and took the bait!

The worse Clinton looks, the better Obama looks.  Obama, for too many, looks almost Messiah-like.  With the endorsement of the Kennedy clan, he seems to have a Bobby Kennedy, populist appeal.  He is a man of the people, one who really cares.  That is the way he comes off as anyway.  In comparison to the portrait we have painted of Hillary, he cannot help but to look good.

However, my biggest concern about Obama is his rhetoric.  That is all there is to the man.  He loves to throw around the words hope and change, but fails to show how he plans to bring them about.  There is no substance to this empty suit of a candidate.  In fact, if look back to the National Journal Magazine article concerning his voting record, you will see the man likes to campaign more that he does actually fulfilling his role as a US Senator.  Hillary at least gives us some details of what she plans to do, though I disagree with just about all of it!  Hillary at least knows how to cast a vote in the Senate, though sometimes I wish she did not.

An Obama victory would be a victory of style over substance.  I secretly root for Hillary with the hopes that Democrats at least have the ability to see the emptiness of trite campaign themes and meaningless drivel.   But then again, it does not appear than most Republicans have this ability either.

It is time likes these when I am thankful for the Constitution Party.  For the record, I would never vote for Hillary Clinton.  It will be my intention to vote for a true conservative, a champion of the Constitution, someone who truly represents my values and beliefs.  Just a hint – I am not describing John McCain.

I’ll talk more about who that person is in my next piece.
